Shipping to Canada
Hello,
I live in the U.S. and I want to sell into Canada (Hockey Cards) so how do I put in the listing to show my domestic shipping price AND the Canadian shipping price separately?
Is it based on International shipping?
I tried reading the instructions but I couldn't decipher it correctly.
If possible, simple instructions would help, and appreciated.
Thanks in advance

You have to use the international shipping box to ship to Canada. It will ask you once you check that box where internationally and it will show Canada. There you add what service and your price.

Will it automatically change to Canadian rates when a winning bidder who lives in Canada?Yes, you don't have to do anything. They'll see the conversion rate on their side. You'll get your funds in US dollars.

Thanks again Stamkos
My wife says I'm missing out not selling to Canada LOL
I do not want to overcharge for shipping and I don't want to take a bath on it either.
Do you sell to Canada?
Yes, I sell to Canada. I stopped for a long while after using Ebay's Global shipping. I got a lot of non-paying bidders due to what ebay was charging them. Depending on the item, that shipping method is a failed system especially for items under $50. My method now is Priority Flat Rate Small box. I can ship up to 8 slabs in that box for $30. It also comes with tracking which is what I need. You can use First Class International, but there is no tracking for that service; and that's about $11. I don't know the value of your items, but you want to make sure you're protected. Bottom line is, what can you afford to lose by shady buyers if you go the cheap route?
What do you mean "what ebay was charging them"
I was understanding that you calculate and set your own shipping pricing.
I sell both Slabbed and raw, with prices ranging below $50 and well above $50
I feel I am leaving money on the table not listing in Canada.
I don't want to over think this...
Thanks for your feedback
You guys are over the place.... You should ONLY be using the eBay International Standard Shipping option to send to Canada. Comes with $100 of 3rd party insurance (no USPS claims) and can be used to ship elsewhere (pokemon sells all over) for way less than USPS/UPS/FedEx...
Paying $30 to ship 8 slabs to Canada is high... Only costs $18 through eBay shipping....

Does this have tracking? Will have to look into this. Didn't know about this option.
Yes it has tracking. Never had a problem shipping to Canada. All I see is US dollars, all they see is Canadian dollars.
I'm testing it out. Just listed 2 items. Thanks
Excuse my ignorance..
On my Ebay listing it will show U.S. shipping only.
When I go to the listing page I scroll down to the shipping section I then (also) select international shipping. I select Canada only with my shipping fee (in USD) when I create the Ebay page listing, it doesn't show also the Canadian shipping price on my Ebay page listing.
Does the auction winner scroll down to the shipping and payments tab (in the Ebay page listing) to change country drop down to show Canada?
My thought is they would just look at the domestic shipping price and not the Canadian shipping price.
As a Canadian consumer. The first thing I look at when shopping for raw cards, single cards, small ticket items is where it ships from. These items seem to cost around $15 for shipping from the USA so I don't even bother looking any further into the item for sale. I just keep scanning the "ships from section" looking for a "ships from Canada" the cost for the same single card being shipped within Canada is $2 or less with no currency exchange as well.
You would have to decide what kind of price tag something caries in order to justify the shipping fee. A single card with a value of $300 might justify the $15 shipping. Also the availability of the Item, I am going to look to see if that same $300 card is available in Canada to avoid the higher shipping.

Dgilbert that is spot on, I do the same thing here in the U.S. LOL
I just want to create that option of selling hockey cards to Canadians.
Usually Canadians making purchases from USA sellers is higher priced items so the shipping isn't as much of a percent of the item cost, or combined shipping and buying multiple items from the same seller to cost average the shipping.
We do love love watching/playing hockey here in Canada, kind of like football in the USA.
Best of luck to you.
