COA paperwork

I have two autographed items; a golf ball and a baseball. The baseball is a Cal Ripken Jr signed ball and had the COA but I have lost the paperwork. It was not from PSA but another " at the time reputable" company. The same goes for the Tiger Woods golf ball, also signed, which is encapsulated. If I send them both in would I have to break the box the golf ball is in? How much weight does the collector put in other grading companies?

can you post a scan of the Ripken ball? I can tell you if it's worthwhile to send it in......My understanding is that you'd have to remove the Woods golf ball from the casing before submitting that ; there are much more phony signed Tiger golfs balls than real ones, so getting it certified by PSA/DNA is a good idea
