Carson City Morgan Dollars
Hello, I'm looking to get some guidance on selling or trading some of my spare coins here. I'm not a dealer, just a collector, but have some CC Morgan Dollars that I no longer need and would rather put the money elsewhere. This forum has been recommended to me. I intend on sending my high value coins to Great Collections, but I have several other high grades and one or two lower grades I may like to try out here.
I've not sold or bought on this forum before. Can anyone tell me if there are fees associated with buying or selling here? Also, how does someone establish "Forum Credibility"? I've lost both money and property on eBay in the past and very much dislike the risk there. I already know coins shops exist and I can just sell there, but I would rather not take a huge hit on these coins. I appreciate any guidance. These aren't really cheap coins and I'm not looking to sell at a discount. I'd like to get closer to their going rate. Almost all are PCGS and the two that aren't are NGC. None have much of any toning. All but one would be considered "white/white" the other is a light golden white color (1885-CC MS66)
I've got extra:
1878-CC Trade Dollar XF40 for around $5,000
1878-CC MS65, (Trying to get upgraded with PCGS)
1881-CC MS66, 66 CAC, (About $1,500-$1,800 depending on the coin)
1882-CC MS66+ (Fielding offers)
1883-CC MS66PL ($1,800 range)
1884-CC MS66, ($1,200 unless it CAC's)
1885-CC MS66, ($2,400-$2,600 range)
1890-CC MS62 DMPL/CAC, (Fielding Offers)
1890-CC MS62 Tailbar, $2,000 range
1890-CC MS64, ($2,200 range)
1891-CC MS64PL (being reviewed for DMPL upgrade)
1892-CC MS61 ($2,000 range)
I'm looking for:
1878-CC MS66+ (I have MS66 to upgrade)
1879-CC MS63 Clear CC (I have a MS62 Capped Die I would let go)
1881-CC MS67 (I have very nice MS66+ CAC to upgrade)
1883-CC MS67 (I have a MS66PL to upgrade)
1884-CC MS67 (I have a MS66+ CAC to upgrade)
1885-CC MS66+ CAC or MS67 (I have a MS66)
1889-CC AU Level (Sold my two lower 89'cc's. I'm stepping this coin up as I can)
1890-CC MS65+ (I have a MS65)
1891-CC MS65+ (I have a MS65)
1893-CC MS63 (I need this coin. It's a hole in my set)
Thanks in advance.
I'm attaching just a couple of photos of my coins:

You have some incredible coins - I also like CC Morgan’s although more recently I have gotten into peace dollars (which I don’t recommend as it seems like an easy series to collect but it is not!) and I especially like the CC seated liberties from 1870s and those are really fun to collect - and like them better than Morgan’s (although my wallet doesn’t)
And to answer your question it is easy to sell here - refer folks to your private message inbox and work with them directly using PayPal or Venmo etc. occasionally some folks will honor sending a money order or even crypto if you need to go that route. Get interested parties to your inbox and work from there - good luck to you. Wish I had some extra capital I would look close at some of those coins!
"and like them better than Morgan’s (although my wallet doesn’t)"
haha, I know what you mean. I started with modern and quickly shifted to CC Morgans, which I've got a great fondness for. My personal set, excluding the extras is sitting here:
PCGS:
1878-CC MS66
1879-CC MS62 (CD)
1880-CC MS66+
1880-CC MS66 CAC Reverse of 1878-CC
1881-CC MS55+ CAC
1882-CC MS67
1883-CC MS66 PL
1884-CC MS66+ CAC
1885-CC MS66
1889-CC (hole) *I sold my VF30 and AU Details "Rim Filed" to buy a straight AU and walk it up to MS. No luck yet....
1890-CC MS65
1891-CC MS65
1892-CC MS65+ CAC, MS65, MS64+ CAC (I honestly can't choose. The MS64+ CAC is NGC, but outstanding in hand. the MS65+ CAC is great as well. The MS65 is at PCGS being reviewed for removal of a yellowish haze preventing full PL designation.)
1893-CC (Hole) I sold my XF40 and almost closed a deal for a MS63, but the dealer was just too fond of his coin...
*1900-O/CC in MS65+ and MS65+ CAC. I'm likely parting with this as it isn't really a CC but a O
2021-CC Privy MS70
I hope to upgrade the 1879 MS62 CD and a few others. The big boys are still the '89 and '93. I feel pretty good on most of them. None are really toned, all look great at grade. On the 1882-CC I've just picked up the MS67, but have it is MS66+, so I'll compare and decide. I've found some coins are better all the way around in the step down for some reason.

Thank you. That's a question I really needed an answer to.
