OH 175I-1a John Hawkins "The Ladies Man" raw AU with a couple of rim clips, $150


I just love this Civil War Token! John Hawkins sold women's clothing and apparently fashioned himself as a sort of ladies man. Well, thats exactly what he did, actually, placing himself on his own store card bearing that very inscription. The Ladies Man token is always hard to find, and almost always found with issues. This one is no exception. Very well struck with great detail and luster, but with several small rim clips. Overall very pleasing and affordable.
I've recently upgraded to the Tanenbaum specimen at 5x this price! But I HAD to own it, it's the Ladies Man for crying out loud! 😆
