I'll never understand why he isn't in.
Not sure why but I thought he'd played much longer than he did. I assume that's your objection - his short career? There's no doubt he played at a HOF-level when he was actually playing. And the HOF doesn't much care about career length - see Sayers, Gale and Davis, Terrell.
Joe Jacoby was better and is not in the hall.
