Patrick Mahomes

Greetings! I’m trying to get help assigning a value to a card - even. It is a peak performance rookie (Sage) of Mahomes - blue auto. Only 10 made. Graded 9.5. Because they come up for sale so rarely I’m a bit stuck. Recommendations?

According to the pop report dude has something like 1600-1700 different RC cards. If there is some logical way to value this stuff, I'd like to hear about it too.

There is a lot of sales data from ebay on SAGE Mahomes Auto RCs. If you are assigning a value for book purposes, $3000-$5000 seems supportable by the recent sales. I have a tough time appraising it more than $5000 since there a lot of NFL Mahomes Auto RCs PSA 10/BGS 9.5 available in the same range, those will always be in more demand than SAGE.

If you plan to sell it, I would do a BIN listing w/best offer. SAGE has a smaller collector bases so the auction results could be volatile both up and down.

  • Thanks. That’s helpful. It is the limited nature - 10 issued - that was give me difficulty in terms of pricing. Your data is useful.

You're welcome. You may find a Mahomes collector that needs it and will pay premium. To be honest with you I was surprised how much SAGE Mahomes auto RCs were pulling in. I prefer Leaf for draft products because of the card quality but there seems to be an active SAGE fan base out there.

I don't think it should be considered so special if there are hundreds of /10s.

Could we see a pic? Mahomes is a franchise player and his cards are off the chart.
