Why did Brady leave the Patriots out of his retirement message?

Any ideas as to why Brady didn't mention the Patriots and the fans in his retirement message yesterday?

Tom Brady is my favorite player of all time, I will defend his accomplishments and GOAT tag in sports talk anytime and every time.

That being said, I would have zero interest in meeting him or even having a beer with him.

I think he is a douche and is too big for his britches to stoop to the level of doing what most other icons have done upon retirement. It is what it is although I do like that he snubbed Kraft and Belichick.

Kraft hung him out to dry over Deflategate

Belichick hung him out to dry on the field to prove a point that he was the reason behind the success

The fans deserve more but again he is a douche

I disagree with the sentiment of that article. I feel as though the intentional snubbing should rub NE fans the wrong way.

My first thought was, maybe he's going to do something special for the Patriots fans, like comeback and sign a one day contract and retire a Patriot and thank them at Gillette Stadium in some kind of ceremony or something, but after reading that article galaxy posted, I'm not sure what Brady is thinking.

Former Patriots quarterback Scott Zolak went on a pretty brutal rant about Brady in this video:

My final statement on this matter and then I'll go back to my cave. I know Brady is a calculating guy, so I think he planned it this way and purposely left the Patriots and the fans out of his message, I think he has something else in mind to show his appreciation to the Patriots fans, and that he will surprise them in some way, probably by signing a one day contract and retiring with the Patriots in some kind of ceremony, at which time he will show his appreciation. The End.

Six Super Bowl wins and playing for the Pats on the "cheap" ( constant restructuring of his contract) is enough thanks for me. Don't need anything else. Not offended in the least.

Look on the bright side, Aaron Rodgers can now be the official face of the NFL, and with Brady out of his way, he may finally capture another championship.

didn't he leave a big tribute to the NE fans when he signed with TB? why does "some" get so butt hurt when they feel disrespected?

#LetsGoSwitzerlandThe Man Who Does Not Read Has No Advantage Over the Man Who Cannot Read. The biggest obstacle to progress is a habit of “buying what we want and begging for what we need.”You get the Freedom you fight for and get the Oppression you deserve.

Yes he did, and the sports experts on the radio here noted this as the reason they believe he felt no need to revisit that tribute but instead have that going to his present employer.

Sign of the times. People complaining about problems that don't exist.

Why would he mention the Patriots? He didn't retire from a job with them. He retired from Tampa so that's who he mentioned.
