Flea Market Finds 2022

Came across these in a $1-2 box in a flea market this morning. Ended up pulling out 6 worth grading once fees go back down (I have a stack I am adding to for whenever that happens). The rest go into my star ungraded box.

Post your flea market, garage sale, yard sale, etc finds below! Thought this might be a neat thread if we can keep it going.

I bought a case of 1990 Score Italian soccer for $30 at a flea market and kept them in my parents garage. They were thrown out about 5 years ago.

I love the hunt and grind of rummaging in general. I do pretty well flipping Packers jerseys and 90s era Packers shirts (I live in Milwaukee), along with older band t-shirts, action figures, and other collectible stuff . Rummage flipping pays for my cards for the most part. Also my wife loves coming with, so it's something we can enjoy together every weekend.

A few summers ago I ran into a rummage where a guy had junk wax sets, many with dupes. About 30 or so boxes. I quickly went through em, as I started looking he said to take em all for 10 bucks. Got home and found 6 Jeter Topps rookies, a well centered 89 Fleer Griffey, and a 'partial ad' Randy Johnson. One Jeter was creased. Sent in the rest when we could still get subs for $10 each. The Jeters came back one 9, two 8s and a two 7s. Griffey and Johnson both 9s. With grading fees turned $80 (and shipping) into around $250 (after fees). Kept the Johnson for my collection. Another bonus was that there was a 300 count box I found when I got home that had about $6 in coins. None of them were worth more than the currency itself though. But really ended up only paying $4 for that lot. Ha

Same summer I was buying 90 Hoops Mark Jackson and Sam Vincent cards every chance I had. Often the rummage people were asking a buck for 5-10 cards. Most Jackson cards I flipped raw for 10 each, and pulled in around $500-$600 doing so. I did sub three however: Got a 10, and 9, and an 8 back. Was super stoked on the 10 as that's a tough card to get Gem Mint. Pop count is under 70 last I checked. I've sold the 9. Keeping the 10. Sam Vincent cards are still at PSA.

Those are probably my biggest scores, not life changing money by any means, but has certainly paid off, and had a lot of fun along the way.

I've found a few collections at yard sales.
Guy about a year ago had a couple junk wax sets on a table so I asked him if he had any more cards, etc and he took me into his 'ebay shed'. It was more than a shed, more like a 20'x10' manufactured structure with internet, electricity, etc. He had his ebay computer in there along with storage shelves, etc.

Long story short he 'only deals with baseball and wrestling' so he asked if I wanted to buy a monster box of basketball for, I think it was $20. First card I pulled was a Jordan so of course I didn't hesitate and bought the box.

In the end it was an unsearched 90's Basketball box with about 50 Jordans, about 40 Shaq RC's, and on and on. Best Jordan was a '92 Beam Team that had a dinged corner, I think I got $225 for it. Crazy someone familiar with cards AND that deals on eBay wouldn't go through that box because they don't deal in Basketball. I thought that was crazy.

I found this at a thrift store last weekend. Not sure if it is worth the $25 I spent on it but it is cool nonetheless. I can see make out the signature of Pete Rozelle and his wife. I think the other on the left is Frank Gifford.
