Once again I checked for posts but saw none - I noticed some Laud Mahomes - some Root for Burrow!
What say you this Sunday? Who's rooting Burrow? Who's staying with Mahomes the Great?

I like Burrow......I'm not convinced yet, but he looks very good....Of course, The Lovely Mrs. Hydrant subscribes to that T.V. channel that has all the NFL games on 24/7. So I watch the Bengal games......I like Cincinnati ...for reasons. Anyway, so far during the playoffs, everything has turned out just like I wanted.....except for the Chargers.........icing on the cake? .Bengals/Rams in the Big One!!! Cincinnati over K.C. What an upset that would be!!!

The Bengals beat the Chiefs a few weeks ago, but I think it's different this time around, I think Mahomes and the Chiefs get it done this time.

Yes, Chiefs played a flat game at Cincy. And Mahomes seems to be on fire - but you never know.

I always like the underdog (especially in the NCAA tourney) so of course I 'm gonna go Burrow!

I'm pulling for Cincy/Burrow in that one, Staffy/Michel/Dawgalums in the other.

Cincinnati has had a great run. However they are now in over their head. Chiefs will blow them out. I hope I'm wrong but I did go 4 for 4 last week.

countdouglas- I'm guessing Reid didn't actually say that to Mahomes with 13 seconds left.
I saw the reporter ask Andy the question and it was something like this, "What did you tell Mahomes when the
situation was so grim and only 13 seconds left on the clock?" So the reporter said the word 'grim' in his question
and I'm assuming that triggered the response from Reid, "When its grim, be the grim reaper".
To me there's a 0% chance Andy actually said that.

What I find more interesting is the final pass to Kelce at the end of regulation, the one that got them to the
31 yard line and the tying field goal. When they lined up for the play the Bills called timeout. Kelce told Mahomes
there were defenders on both sides of him so if they lined up that way again after the timeout he was going straight
down the field and split the defenders. That wasn't the route he was supposed to run on the play but it would get him
downfield fast with only 8 seconds left on the clock. So they line up after the timeout, Mahomes notices they're
playing Kelce the same way and yells, "Do it Kels, do it, do it, do it Kels and the rest is history. And if you notice Mahomes
gets hit as he releases the ball so if Kelce hadn't busted it straight up the field Mahomes probably would have been sacked.

So my favorite saying now is "DO IT KELS". :p

What’s the playoff record for a quarterback getting sacked?. Seems like Burrows 9 would be close. I’ll take the Chief’s and hope that they add on to that sack total👍

9 sacks tied the record. how Ironic - Held by the Chiefs against Houston in 94.

@Darin You could be right. Realize, though, that sometimes reporters already know the answers to their questions, and they just want to get the quote on the record and lead into the answer with their question. Perhaps it had already been passed along in the postgame scrum that Reid had told Mahomes with 13 seconds left to "Be the Grim Reaper". Reid often comes up with some dandy quotes, so no way am I going to say 0%. I'd say 50/50 at least. I never thought I'd see a coach bust through a wall like the Kool-Aid man, either, and Reid is known for that.

I listened to a lot of the afternoon talk on 610 The Drive yesterday, and they have Mahomes on every Monday at 2:15, but I was also occupied with other things, so splitting my attention. I believe they did ask him directly about that Reid quote, but I can't tell you now what he said. I may have to go back and listen to the 610 archives.

At any rate, I put the over/under of Mahomes jersey wearing Grim Reapers at the game this Sunday at 15.5. Get ready to see a lot of that on your TVs, folks.

It is my understanding that Mahomes was yelling "DO IT KELS!" in his cadence of the playcall at the line, like Manning yelling "OMAHA!"

The defensive scouting had probably never heard Mahomes use that before, so you can only imagine the doubt in their minds of what was coming.

@Darin One more thing...back in April, the Chiefs released a special barbeques sauce 6-pack (for charity, maybe?), and Mahomes was on the bottle "Kansas City Reaper" with the Carolina reaper pepper infused sauce. I'm sure the coaches and teammates have referenced him as the Reaper before when motivating Mahomes.

Count- Yeah after I posted that 0% I did think about maybe the reporter already knew the answer and that's
why he used the word grim. So I guess honestly I don't know because I haven't heard anything about it since then.
I hope there are a lot of Grim Reaper jerseys, I would actually buy a DO IT KELS t shirt if they come out with them.

I almost bought a case of Mahomes cereal when they came out with it a few years ago but decided against it.
I didn't know they came out with a barbeque sauce 6 pack. :o

Based on performance and stats, you have to say Mahomes since Allen is not playing ;), but as we can see in the last round, stranger things have happened.

Reid blew it not taking the sure 3 before the end of the first half.

Damn, I'm doubting that - There is no way the Browns can pay this guy big money to sit the bench. They will find a way out.........They just gave the guy 14 Million to play 2 games??? Where do I sign????

"Case Keenum signed a 3 year, $18,000,000 contract with the Cleveland Browns, including a $4,000,000 signing bonus, $10,000,000 guaranteed, and an average annual salary of $6,000,000."
