    Good Morning,

Everything looks correct, size is right, folds look correct, (Size Neighborhood of 27" X 41") looks legit with one caveat....I don't know if there are later print runs or manufacturing runs. Since this Poster Doesn't have a Number in the Bottom Left or Right corner, could mean it didn't get a assigned number, or could mean its a later Poster print run.

As an example, some clown has been Printing Friday the 13th Movie Posters off and on almost since 1980. You really have to know what your looking at to know if what you have was actually an Original!

    YeeHaw!

    Evening,

Having a Poster Linen Backed is a bit of an expensive endeavor and of the 70+ each 1935-1990 Horror Movie Posters I own I only have one Linen Backed. This process is usually only recommended for posters that need it for Preservation due to excessive wear or if the poster has an intrinsic value that makes it more valuable if preserved in this matter. Others feel it detracts from the Collectibility of the item and lowers the value. Same as restoring an Original Batman or Superman Comic from the 1930's-1940's! Some for, some against...personally I believe it detracts from the real value! But JMHO!

Curious about poster authentication.... watching this thread

  • Thanks ya I was trying to include the sizes of it (it's maybe a little less than 41 by maybe a quarter of an inch) but it had been tri folded. I just wanted to see what people with more experience thought. Thanks again

What is your opinion on linen backing when I get it framed? Would that increase or decrease the value of the poster?

  • Thanks ya that's what I thought too.besides being way to expensive I think it kinda takes away from the originalality of it.
