How much is my 1977 Star Wars trading card collection worth?
I recently went digging around in my attic, and discovered my old trading card collection from the late 70's. Most of them were baseball and football, but there were also these original Star Wars cards from 1977 that I thought might be worth something.
I have the following cards, in numerical order: 122, 144, 173, 226, 230, 234 (2x), 235, 237, 241, 254, 267, 269 (2x), 270 (2x), 272 (2x), 274, 276, 277, 284, 286, 294 (2x), 295, 304 (2x), 310 (3x), 320 (2x), 321 (2x), 322, 324, 329, 330 (2x).
If any of these are worth anything, info would be much appreciated! I'm trying to clean out some stuff that I don't need anymore, so I'll probably just try and sell them.

Not counting for graded prices, ungraded in decent shape are roughly 50 cents each. Maybe a buck if theyre in NM-MT condition. Just from a sample of ebay sales

Nope, unless you think they might be PSA 9 or 10, they aren't worth much. $20 or so for the lot at best.

PSA is the grading service behind these discussion boards. You can send your cards in to get graded. If they graded PSA 9 or 10, they would be worth a premium. But, right now, I think it's still $150 to submit each card. And, in order to get a high grade, the card has to pretty much look flawless in many different attributes of the card. Centering and corners are the two biggies. Most cards from 1977 don't even come out of the pack as pristine condition as PSA 9 or 10, hence why they carry a premium. If it was me, I'd take some good pics and put it up on ebay as one large lot.

@captfisch,
What do you mean by "PSA 9 or 10?" I'm not familiar with that term.
If you had card # 207 (CP3O "Goldenrod"), it carries a premium, even raw. Most of the others, not so much.
@dontippet, thanks! I'll probably end up doing just that; I was just trying to figure out if any of them were worth more than about $20 or so, for estimating a price.
What would you suggest for a starting price for an Ebay auction on them? Or would you recommend something else?
I wouldn't do it as an auction. I would do it as a "buy it now". I would just look at what similar auctions have sold for in the past and price your auction competitively.

You can also go on the Rebelscum.com forums. All of the Star Wars collectors are on there. They might also be interested and might save you paypal and ebay fees.
@72skywalker, that sounds like a good idea. I'll try Craigslist and/or the Face Space just in case.
Rebelscum cards pages are a graveyard. Find the various SW and non-sport card groups on facebook.

@alifaxwa2 thanks! I don't really use Facebook very often, so I didn't think of that.
best of luck!
