LOST FORTUNES....EVERYONE HAS A STORY...A SAD PENNY TALE

......Well, I have to share this sad but very true story with everyone so please stay with me. In 1969 I was 15 years old and bought a Coke at the local small town theater. The cashier cracked open a mint roll of pennys which caught my young collectors eye. Having four cents left to my name I asked if I could have four of the pennys and the cashier said no problem. I stuck the pennys in the extra spaces in the old blue Whitman Coin Album. About a month later I bought a Coin Magazine (don't remember the name) with a big color picture on the front of a 1969-s double die Penny. Sure enough I checked mine and to this day I can still see those four shiney brilliant pennys with two 1969-s dates double stamped as plain as the nose on your face. The magazine said they were common as dirt and don't waste your time collecting them. I immediately popped those "brilliant" pennys out and bought some candy. Oh well....I had to get this off my shoulders....I'll just let it go and deal with it.
