Posting on the wrong forum - what are your options?

If you post a listing to the wrong forum, what are the options to correct the mistake? 1. Close the listing and then repost a whole new listing on the correct forum? 2. Is it possible to transfer the entire listing (including all the current comments ) to the correct forum w/o doing a whole new listing? Thanks for your time and comments.

This is the easiest way to do it. :)

    2. Is it possible to transfer the entire listing (including all the current comments ) to the correct forum w/o doing a whole new listing?

It can be done but you would need to contact a moderator to do it for you. ;)

@ifthevamzarockin Thanks, I kinda thought your 1st method was the only real choice. However, when you close the listing and do a do-over on the correct forum, what happens to all the comments that members have made? Do they get closed and disappear also?

When you close or move your thread most times it will remain as is.

It's only when a moderator deletes a thread that everything is gone.

In other words if you change the title of this thread to delete or moved the only thing that will change is the title.
Other members can still post to it and all comments will remain the same.
Just because you put delete in the title doesn't mean that a mod will delete it.
If a mod sees it and decides to delete it everything will be gone.
If a mod moves it it will remain the same just in another place.
