    N1, I believe. R1 if that's correct.
VF30-ish, but looks like some smoothing may have been done to it.
After double checking, I'm convinced. I had to do some reading.
The same reverse (A) is used on the N11, but the obverse is different.

The obverse appears to be VF30, but the reverse appears to be VF20, so I wouldn't think it would make VF30, but then that's just my guess. Don't have the book anylonger so can't guess with the Newcomb numbers.

I hope it's the pictures but that coin looks heavily burnished and non gradable to me.

I agree with VF25 or 30. My initial impression was a cleaning very long ago but the coin has since regained some natural toning. The color seems a little off but market acceptable. After reading @Walkerguy21D 's response I wonder if the coin got an acetone bath and then spent some time in olive oil. I've seen a number of Early Large Cents that have received this treatment to remove surface corrosion but the surfaces underneath tend to be slightly pitted. Maybe that's what I'm seeing (look around "STATES" on the reverse). Overall it's a pretty nice piece considering how difficult this issue gets to find nice in VF and above...
