eBay help

When trying to list an item I get the error message “we noticed your listing contains a shortened url which ebay no longer allows”. Of course there are no url’s. Any idea what’s going on? Never had this before.

In the item description area, click on the HTML tab... must be something in there.

Thanks Rufuss, tried that it says my listing is ready to go but still get that error message. Just listed some Thursday and now on Sunday this started. Very frustrating.

Rufuss, I went in and deleted everything in the description, just left it blank and was able to get it listed. I could then go back and “revise item” and could add the text to the description and click update. Of course this is a pain. Any ideas? TIA

Could you post your description here? Someone may be able to figure out what word or sentence is causing the problem.

Don't be "bumping" less than a week after posting!

Are you copying and pasting anything into the description, Such as something from a website? Are you using a old listing as a template using "relist" or "sell similar"?

Using “sell similar”. I also tried without using “sell similar” and that didn’t work. I could go to a listed item and “relist” without changing anything and that worked. Of course I then had to delete the relisted item.
