1975 Topps MVP cards - A way to learn baseball history

I was just looking through my '75 Topps mini set and I got to the MVP sub-set.
Who else remembers learning all of the MVPs from 1951-1974 from collecting this set when it came out? I always enjoyed those MVP cards and still do!

That subset was perfectly timed. It helped me learn about each Topps set as I began to start collecting older cards.

Yes, those and the Aaron specials were a real treat for kids interested in Topps history!

Loved those cards and certainly learned a lot from looking at them many times over.

Worst player to ever win MVP? Don't misunderstand me, he was absolutely deserving that year, but the rest of his career was remarkably unremarkable. I don't know who the other contenders would even be.

For me the 1982 K-Mart set did the same thing. Memorized all the MVPs by year going through that set over and over. As a Cubs fan I thought it was amazing that Banks was one of only a few guys who won back to back MVPs at that time.
