For the benefit of others, why do you think those coins have something worth discussing? Assume that someone has already said "no, you're wrong" to your first comments, and skip ahead to providing extra details.

True - looks to be just pocket change..........BUT, you never asked any questions about what you may be seeing on your dimes...

  • I accidentally had 2 threads going and couldnt delete the other. I had questions reqarding what type of doubling i was seeing and posted examples of a dew coins i have. I apologize for being vague. I couldnt copy and past so I shared images from my cloud. The 83 dime looks like there is doubling on the word united and possibly the mint mark. The 2009 penny licolns nose and possibly some doubling on the back and the 2020 quarter was the words in god we trust. Just wanted to know or get an idea on if it was die mechanical or another sort of doubling. Thank you for your time. Ill move on.

  • I have 2 coins here as well and have seen online that if bronze they may be rare. Both are 1983d pennies. I have a crappy scale but the first one weighs at least 3 grams and the other says 2. It doesn't display 10ths. Can you tell by appearance?

And no, we can't tell the weight of something by looking at a picture. If you want an answer, you'll need to get a scale that measures in tenths of grams. I see lots of choices on Amazon in the range of $15 including shipping.

Your scale doesn't have enough resolution to determine the weight. You need at at least 0.1 grams, and preferably 0.01 grams to use for coins.
