So I picked up a 1914 Silver Yuan Shih-kai Dollar today...

I'm confused. Is this thing worth crazy money?
$31,200 a couple weeks ago. But, it kinda seems like a fluke of some sort. In 2019 the same coin sold for $8700. In 2014 they were a little under $3k.
An AU55 sold for $37,200 a couple months ago. In May 2020 one sold for $12k. 2017 was closer to $7k.
I guess I'm just trying to figure out what this is worth. Prices are all over the place. What do you think...

Very impressive. I cant offer comment on the pricing, but i can say that it has a great look to it.

Is this your coin purchased at 31k by you ?
I have no idea on the value but …
It sounds like your having second thoughts 😎
I give away money. I collect money.
I don’t love money . I do love the Lord God.

Yes, it is currently worth roughly that amount. The market is very hot and has been for some time now

Your coin would do very well, especially consigned to a large auction during a major coin show in Hong Kong like the one you linked.

You're the one who bought it, why don't you tell me.

I sold an AU over 5 years ago for north of 10K. Most likely would have been AU details cleaned if I recall.
