I've been pretty interested in the coins from the different European towns during the middle ages. Always neat to see how they represented their town on their money.
The Munich coin is very interesting. This is an area I know very little about.
The Austrian Taler is another good example of the hair styles of the royals. They were able to strike these elaborate hair styles into coins during the 1700s (and earlier) but couldn't get a decent strike of the hair on the 1921 Peace Dollars centuries later.
