Yea, but I don't want to talk about it. The memories are too painful. 🤦🤕
My adventures searching for bigfoot in the mountains of Colorado led me to my memories of skiing in Colorado at Keystone and also Vail. I was a decent skier but certainly had my fair share of "incidents."
When you first start skiing, you want to start off on the bunny slope, basically a small beginners slope. When I was skiing back in the 90s, if you got going to fast down the hill and crashed, the ski's were designed to automatically pop off of your ski boot to keep you from breaking your leg. When I first started skiing, I didn't know you have to go from side to side to keep from going too fast, if you ski straight down without going side to side, you'll reach break neck speed and can get hurt bad if you crash. Skiing can be dangerous, I think Sonny Bono was killed in a skiing accident.
There is a Christmas, teenage boy rite-of-passage here in SoCal.....It goes like this....Go to the beach early in the morning in December and go surfing. Freeze your as* off in the water. After that, If you don't end up in the emergency room suffering from hypothermia or a concussion after being hit in the head by the surfboard, then head up to the snow capped mountains, about an hour away, to SKI or snowboard. If you don't end up in the emergency room with a broken leg or head concussion from hitting a tree, after that......well....your a member of the CLUB!.....You have earned the right to bore your children and grandchildren and any woman within hearing distance to death about your manly exploits! FOREVER!! I did it. My boys did it........I expect to hear all about it again tomorrow night. Christmas Eve........the kids and women will be bored out of their minds by it all....they've heard it a thousand times.....Oh, Well.......MERRY CHRISTMAS! God Bless You All ....and.....HAPPY NEW YEAR!
Big wave surfing is extremely dangerous, just look at the waves in Portugal, it's like surfing a psunami.
born and raised in N.E. never been on a pair of skis. I figured that careening down a mountain while standing up was not my idea of a good time.
George Brett, Roger Clemens and Tommy Brady.
Been a few times many years ago. Could never get the hang of it as we only had a minor slope in northern Illinois. Chestnut Mountain in Galena IL.
The second time I went was after an ice storm. BIG MISTAKE. When I got home I maxxed the temperature on my waterbed and stayed in bed 2 days.
A lot. Going next week.

Fellas, leave the tight pants to the ladies. If I can count the coins in your pockets you better use them to call a tailor. Stay thirsty my friends......
