A $100 bill weighs 1 gram.....,
There are 454 grams per lb.....,
Each block weighs approximately 2.25 lbs .....,
There are approximately 1,138 one hundred bills per 2.25 lb. block.....,
Each block has a face value of $113,800 bucks.
I have seven of these blocks left, for a grand total of $796,600 bucks.
Hmmm….maybe the DEA should come sample those blocks….

I keep buying these old blue Whitman bookshelf albums. Not even trying to fill some of them, like the Canadian half album I recently bought. Just collecting the albums themselves for some reason. I guess you can say I'm buying the holders and not the coins.
Cool.
When I took my then 14 year old around to the various LCS, he got many of these albums as freebies from the wonderful dealers as an encouragement to the youngster initiating him into the hobby. Some of them were missing the plastic insert slides here and there, so took him to Hobby Lobby to get supplies and showed him how to make his own.
I gave him a few of my extra coins to get him started and he promptly sold them all for a tidy profit and now those empty albums are all packed away in a box, sitting in storage.
Acquired a couple of East Indian coins featuring a young Queen Victoria from 1840 and really loved the motif designs on them. Have collected a few of those rupees till Indian independence in 1947 but it is a tough exercise because most of the coins tend to be cleaned.
Then I came across the news article that the Morgans were melted to make the Indian rupees after 1917, so that makes those coins extra special.
That goes with mine! Myself and everyone that's seen it is 99% sure it's from the World's fair. It has foreign coins on the back and it's a cigarette case.

... a couple of "family" items I think are cool. The 2 1/2 Gold commemorates my grandfather's First Communion. The 1839 1 1/5 Pence was brought over by his grandfather when they immigrated to America in 1845 from Ireland.
Collecting: Dansco 7070; Middle Date Large Cents (VF-AU); Box of 20;
Copperplate engraving of General George Washington by Robert Scot, after the decisive US victory at Yorktown. This is in an old book from my collection. Only 100 copies were originally printed and much less survive.

I think my framed 2009 Proof Set, in which I gave to my sister, with my nephews picture, is pretty cool? His BIRTHDAY is Christmas Day. Born the same year, 2009. He'll be 12.
