Met's get a Buck!

"Mets owner Steve Cohen announced the hiring of Buck Showalter as their next manager.
Jon Heyman of MLB Network adds that Showalter will receive a three-year contract. He takes over at the helm of an exceptionally-talented Mets' squad, which figures to compete for the NL East crown next season. It's the fifth managerial stint of his lengthy career and first time back in the majors since 2018. The 65-year-old previously managed the Yankees (1992-95), Diamondbacks (1998-2000), Rangers (2003-08) and Orioles (2010-18) over a 20-year period dating back to 1992. It's unclear how Showalter's old-school tendencies will ultimately mesh with the analytically-based front-office mindset that permeates modern-era dugouts."
