Crossover question
I have an 1828 B-2 quarter graded VG 8 in an NGC slab. The coin is former Jules Reiver Collection. Will PCGS allow the JR provenance to be added if the coin crosses? I looked at the instructions under Crossover and it was not clear. Thank you for your help.

You need to call and confirm with customer service ahead of time. I have had raw medals slabbed with provenance on the labels and have asked to have edge numbers put on labels, so it can be done. If that provenance is stated on the NGC label it should be a lot easier for them to say yes.
If it is not on the label and just part of a bunch of coins from that collection, without very specific documentation it is less likely that it will be approved, but worth a try. It takes time to get an answer sometimes on this.

Thank you for your comments. John Komar provided me with several links to this topic from the message board. Coin slab does have JR Collection on the label. The previous message boards stated to be sure to put do not cross without provenance in bold letters and try talking to someone at PCGS before submission. I bought coin at Stacks years ago and will see if there is additional paperwork I can submit to PCGS.
Again, thank you.
