NFL Covid outbreak
The Rams and Browns have been hit hard with a Covid outbreak, and OBJ and Christian McCaffrey have tested positive for Covid. Is this nightmare ever going to end?
NFL COVID outbreak: Browns, Rams hit hard; Odell Beckham Jr. tests positive
Los Angeles Rams wide receiver Odell Beckham Jr. tested positive for COVID-19.
Three dozen NFL players tested positive for COVID-19 on Monday. The list is growing on Tuesday.
ESPN’s Adam Schefter reports “results still are being finalized but more than 25 additional positives are expected (Tuesday), per source.”
NFL Network’s Ian Rapoport reports “The #Browns are now in enhanced COVID-19 protocols, placing G Drew Forbes, TE Austin Hooper, WR Jarvis Landry, DE Takkarist McKinley, G Wyatt Teller and T Jedrick Wills on the list. No QB Baker Mayfield as of now. As of now: Five active players, two practice squad players, one player on IR.”
Schefter reports the “Browns are on a short week with a Saturday game vs. Raiders. They also now have entered the NFL’s league-enhanced protocols, with all meetings being held virtually.”
NFL Network’s Tom Pelissero reports “The #Browns-#Raiders game remains on as scheduled Saturday, I’m told.”
On top of that, USA Today’s Josina Anderson reports “I’m told #Rams WR Odell Beckham Jr. has tested positive for COVID19, per league source.”
In October, when Beckham was sent home from Browns practice with COVID symptoms, the wide receiver said, “I don’t think COVID can get to me. I don’t think it’s going to enter this body. I don’t want no parts of it, it don’t want no parts of me. It’s a mutual respect.” So much for that.
And Beckham’s not alone. Schefter reports “Now due to COVID, the Rams have closed their training facility and have entered the NFL’s intensive protocols.”
Pro Football Talk reports “The Rams were without cornerback Jalen Ramsey, tight end Tyler Higbee, running back Darrell Henderson, right tackle Rob Havenstein, and cornerback Dont’e Deayon in Monday night’s win over the Cardinals. ... (Head coach Sean McVay) suggested that there may be more additions to the reserve list this week.”
Rapoport reports “#Panthers RB Christian McCaffrey, on IR and out for the season, tested positive for COVID-19, source said. Another NFL big name.”
NFL.com reports “Kansas City Chiefs coach Andy Reid said defensive lineman Chris Jones will be placed on the reserve/COVID-19 list. With Kansas City playing the Chargers on Thursday, Jones’ availability for Week 15 is now in doubt.”

Just a nightmare all around, this thing is horrible. Hopefully this is it and not a major outbreak
Yeah, and now there's supposed to be some kind of variant that's a lot worse and more contagious, and it's already in 33 states. I was watching the news and they said it's getting really bad.
Have no fear @doubledragon

Where do you find these videos! 😂😂😂😂
Yea, it's bad. I caught a dose back in Nov. 2019. Was I EVER sick. All the symptoms point to it. For one week. 21 Hydrants have tested positive. Calif., Utah, and Idaho.
3 years old to 40.... Everyone except the Lovely One. No problems though. But.....last week I got the news that a friend died from it. Her name was Rosie. An Italian beauty. A New Jersey mom of 4 boys and a loving wife. I loved her. Way too young....R.I.P., Rosie.
The NFL is considering putting all 32 teams in enhanced Covid protocols.
All 32 NFL teams could enter enhanced COVID-19 protocols amid outbreak?
Much to the chagrin of head coach Sean McVay, the Rams currently have 13 players on reserve/COVID list.
Since Monday morning, more than 60 NFL players have been placed on reserve/COVID-19 lists amid an undeniable virus outbreak among league personnel that is threatening regular-season schedules ahead of Christmas. The Cleveland Browns and Los Angeles Rams are the latest teams facing worrisome coronavirus-related issues, and they joined the Atlanta Falcons, Detroit Lions, Minnesota Vikings, Houston Texans and Chicago Bears among franchises currently in enhanced COVID-19 protocols.
Per The Athletic and multiple reporters, NFL general counsel Larry Ferazani told franchise executives Tuesday every club might have to soon enter enhanced protocols, which involve daily COVID-19 testing of personnel regardless of vaccination statuses and mandating mask-wearing at team facilities.
As of Tuesday night, the NFL has no plans to postpone any of the upcoming weekend's games, but that could change depending on the results of additional testing between Wednesday and Friday. According to Lindsey Thiry of ESPN, Rams head coach Sean McVay said Tuesday that every Los Angeles player on the reserve/COVID-19 list is vaccinated, which indicates they tested positive for the virus.
McVay's comments suggest going to enhanced protocols will help a team determine the seriousness of an outbreak rather than prevent one at this point of the year coming off the Thanksgiving holiday.
Bad news for the Rams......Oh, well.
I'll bet my bottom dollar that the Bucs don't have an outbreak....... Or the Packers......Or the COWBOYS!!!!..... or....PATRIOTS!!!!!!........ Wadda ya wanna bet I'm right? Rams lookin good now..... Humm....
?
I spent the almost the entire day at my mothers home, she's 67 years old, and she hasn't got the booster shot yet. We discussed it and she's going to get it now. They said on TV something like it's gotten so bad that we're no better off than we were a year ago.
What happens if the Lions and Jags are the only Non Covid test teams?
The death toll in the US has hit 800,000 that is scary, it's heading toward 1 million. Now there's a new Omicron variant that is supposed to be more contagious, be careful everybody.

First Oklahoma drills. Then a football version of Russian Circles. A war of attrition. 🤷
Hey, DD! You're a good boy for being with mom. I'm 67 too! Tell her hello for me and tell her that fresh air, sunshine, to keep moving, and a good attitude is the best defense. She will be o.k. She's tough. She has to be just because she's your mother! 👩👦❤
Could the Lambeau Leap and similar celebrations around the League be a super spreader?

In theory. 🙃🤣
She's a great mother, but she lives near me and drives me crazy, she's always calling me for everything, if she can't get a jar of peanut butter open, I have to drive over there and open it for her. Take last night for instance, she cornered a spider in her basement and I had to go over there to finish the spider off!
,....
Consider yourself blessed and call it a day!
I do, she is the best mom and we are close. 🖒
Sounds like my Girlfriend 🙄
Don't get me started on my wife! 😂😂
Baker Mayfield and Kevin Stefanski have tested positive for Covid.
Browns' Baker Mayfield, Kevin Stefanski test positive for COVID-19, could miss Week 15 vs. Raiders
A day after the Brown entered enhanced COVID protocols amid eight players testing positive for COVID-19, two of the biggest names on the team have also been swept up in the outbreak. Head coach Kevin Stefanski has tested positive for COVID-19, as announced by the Browns on Wednesday; and so has quarterback Baker Mayfield, per CBS Sports NFL Insider Josina Anderson. Both will be sidelined for Saturday's Week 15 game against the Raiders unless they produce two negative COVID tests before game day.
The Browns now reportedly have 13 active players on COVID reserve: Mayfield, wide receiver Jarvis Landry, tight ends Austin Hooper, David Njoku and Stephen Carlson, guards Wyatt Teller and Drew Forbes, tackle Jedrick Wills Jr., defensive end Takkarist McKinley, linebacker Anthony Walker, cornerback Troy Hill, safety John Johnson III and punter Jamie Gillan. They also have two practice-squad players on COVID reserve, and more positive tests are expected to surface Wednesday, per NFL Media.
Should Mayfield remain sidelined this weekend, veteran backup Case Keenum would start at QB against Las Vegas. The journeyman previously started in place of an injured Mayfield in Week 7, when he led a 17-14 win over the Broncos.
Stefanski, meanwhile, is fully vaccinated with a COVID booster, the Browns announced, but is required to isolate until testing negative twice, 24 hours apart. He will continue preparing Cleveland for Saturday's game from home, but special teams coordinator Mike Priefer is set to serve as acting head coach against the Raiders in the event Stefanski doesn't return. Priefer is 1-1 as an interim coach during his career, filling in for the Vikings' Mike Zimmer in 2016 and notably leading the Browns' 2020 wild card victory over the Steelers while Stefanski previously battled COVID.
Acting running backs coach Ryan Cordell has also tested positive for COVID, the team announced. Offensive coordinator Alex Van Pelt is set to serve as the play-caller against the Raiders.
2 years and we are still dealing with covid outbreaks - better draw up a new "Game Plan" - the old "Playbook" obviously is not working. Time to fire the "Head Coach"...........

She's a great mother, but she drives you crazy?.......it's called PAYBACK, my friend! And, of course she calls you to come over to open jars and smash spiders........any excuse to be with her little boy........you're a lucky man, DD. Appreciate it. You only have one MOM. She loves you......love her back! Time goes by fast. God bless your Mom.
P.S. You got your great sense of humor from somebody. Wonder who that might be?......HUMMM? 👵 👣 🕷
the Browns have 18 players sidelined on reserve/COVID-19 lists, 11 of whom are regular starters in addition to at least two coaches including the Head Coach. please tell me how the Team can be expected to play on Saturday?? an NFL roster is 46 active/53 total with the practice squad, so 46 - 18 = 28 and if you add seven scrubbs that still only gets them to 35 players.
yeah, that makes sense, make them play. I'm heading over to change my pick to Las Vegas and shoot galaxy a PM.
THE STUPID RULE IS NOW IN EFFECT.
this whole thing really has me steamed since I remember the BS last season that cost the Browns a victory. with already 18 players on the list and 2-3 more days left for others to test positive, will the Browns have enough players to play a game?? and what about the Raiders?? if I was one of them I'd be concerned that the Christmas weekend game for them would be in jeopardy.

the current game plan is OK but the receivers refuse to run their assigned routes.
I love her, but I have to warn you, she can be very protective of me, a bit too protective, she's probably watching us right now!
.....
Just wait til she meets Mrs. Hydrant
