very compelling tilt tonight

so, I've pretty much adopted the Cardinals as my 2nd fav team due to Murray and due to the Bears royally sucking on an annual basis, but my instincts say this is a dangerous game for them tonight. like, if I was playing in our contest I would have selected the Rams. but then again, last Monday my gut was screaming Bills and it turned out to be indigestion. hope that's the case again on this Monday.

if Arizona wins, they retain the #1 spot in the NFC and no one of sound mind can leave them out of a SB contenders conversation. and LA will once again be exposed as paper tigers.

if LA wins, all of a sudden the NFC gets very interesting and that unkempt weasel Rodgers will be in the catbird seat for some very important playoff games in some very cold weather. and the Cards will seem dubious to many.

can't wait to see what shakes out tonight

I want to say that I’m looking forward to this as an “Epic Matchup” but I just don’t believe in the Rams.

    AZ 34
    LA 20

Pretty much how I look at it too. I was just now thinking AZ 31/ LA 20. With the Rams last 7 points being a meaningless very late 4th quarter TD.
But.....don't be surprised if the Rams win. I don't believe in the Rams either. Except for their win over the Bucs I haven't seen anything all season that would make me a believer. I have a suspicion that if the Rams get blown out tonight, the rest of their season will be a disaster. Oh, well.

I have been really excited for this game. I dont really have a horse in the race, but am hoping for a good contest.

    I am picking AZ.

George Brett, Roger Clemens and Tommy Brady.

Looking forward to this game, I just don't trust the Rams, they've struggled lately, and it's going to be a task going into a hostile environment and beating a really good football team tonight. I like the Cardinals in this one by at least 10, but you never know what might happen, it's the NFL.

I picked Arizona tonight mainly because I have no faith in the Rams. but......................though he may be a douche-bag who thinks we care about what he says, Aaron Rodgers does things with the football that few men can. also, I figure that the Cards may cruise to a 1st seed bye but don't see them advancing just like it's hard to envision Tampa bay advancing. but hey, I though Green Bay would win it all last season, so what do I know.

this season is weird with the best Teams beating up on the .500 Teams because it seems that is what we have, a couple of good Teams in each conference and a bunch of .500 Teams. however the post-season match ups work out I only hope that each Team is healthy so the games are what they should be.

Yep. The Lovely Mrs. Hydrant called it right. In the first quarter she had the whole game figured out. Her post game analysis was brilliant. Keets won't like it. Oh, well. The girl knows her football. 🙋

    Update tomorrow morning.

Good game last night, the Rams pulled it off..

Nice call @galaxy27, the Rams got it done.

Check this out, I thought this was entertaining. Shawn Jefferson is the Cardinals wide receivers coach and his son Van Jefferson is a wide receiver for the Rams and scrores a touchdown. 😂😂

unfortunately, that game pretty much played out the way i thought it would

the difference for me was the disparity in the d-lines. the Rams were generating pressure on Kyler on almost every snap. Aaron Donald had poor #64 tied in knots all game long. dude is such a beast. consequently, it forced some errant throws/poor decisions.

but honestly, Arizona didn't look ready to play from the opening snap when they were flagged. then later in the drive, Murray & Green were once again not on the same page and they missed an easy house call. and when you see Hopkins flat-out drop a ball that drills him in the hands, you know it's not gonna be your night. they were undisciplined the entire game. penalties, bad throws, dropped balls, miscommunication, turnovers........they didn't deserve to win and LA did.

That's an excellent summary. LA looked sharp last night. Stafford made excellent decisions and throws (that one short touchdown to Kupp was a ridiculous pass), Aaron Donald reminded everybody how great he is (except the blown tackle on the goal line), and Arizona was just out of sync. Look at the last play - AZ's offensive line expected a spike but Kyler didn't spike it, so no blocking and he takes a sack.
