Whatever happened to Doug Hughes???

MrEurekaMrEureka Posts: 24,332 ✭✭✭✭✭

Doug was a coin dealer in Yonkers NY and Teaneck NJ in the 80’s to early 90’s. Everybody knew him. Then he disappeared. I saw him in the mid 90’s driving a cab in NYC, completely unexpectedly. Since then, nothing. Does anybody know anything more???

    A mystery like Don Taxay?

In all seriousness, I do hope nothing sinister happened to Doug Hughes.

We don't really know what ultimately happened to Don Taxay, but with the circumstances surrounding his disappearance, it was probably not a good outcome.

Are you saying he was driving a Taxay cab?

Yeah, but it gave some of us a lift.

I don't know the circumstances of Taxay's disappearance. Are you at liberty to elaborate?

At least you didn't see him selling used cars.

He left his entire life behind and joined a cult, by the sound of it:
