Silver Coin Cleaning/Removal of Graffiti

It is possible to remove the grafitti on this coin? notice the X and the small line too:

Can that be removed with Acetone? Or it is better to leave it as-is?

Thank you.

As long as it is not scratched in, acetone should remove it.

If you have another silver coin that's not worth much, I'd try goo-gone if the acetone doesn't work. I know someone who uses the stuff LIGHTLY on both bronze and silver with no probs.

Do you think the x is graphite?

Looks like and also/maybe done with a marker. I will play/test (as commented by @syl) with another silver cheap coin.

    Thanks!
