A buyer bought an item from me and one hour later asked me to cancel the order.

If I cancel the order and refund him now, the refund money will come from my bank account immediately or what?

It should come from managed payments if it's ebay.
But I did not get his money yet, then I have to use my own money to refund him?
If he paid, it should come from the uncleared funds
If the buyer paid but it shows pending or processing in ebay's system, ebay has the money.
If the money has not gone to your bank account from ebay they will not take it from your bank account.
Check the usernames! I had some random ask to cancel a sale he wasn't a part of last week. Guess he wanted what I had sold and was hoping I'd not pay attention, cancel it, and he could buy it on relist.

What's the "Refund amount you owe" ?
From the numbers I can see it = "Total refund to buyer" - final value fee.
If you click "Cancel Sale" it should take you to a second field asking why you are canceling the sale.... like "Item Lost" or "Buyer Requested. " Click buyer requested cancel and it will ask you to confirm "cancel sale & refund buyer" click yes or confirm. Ebay will refund the buyer and refund you any seller fees. It should be real easy and ebay's system will get all the amounts right, if there is a problem you can call them to correct it.
Correct. You owe everything but the fee, and eBay refunds the fee, which together are the full amount the buyer originally paid.
Ebay is too big a pain in the rump, good riddens
I did not cancel it as of yet, it is only about 10 hours since he placed the order.
He just sent me a message that he called bank to dispute.
What should I do now? Go ahead and cancel or wait for the bank dispute? I did not get his money anyway.
Just cancel it thru the system, ebay will take care of it. Your creating a huge unnecessary problem by not cancelling it.
If you haven't received money, it costs nothing to cancel it. Just cancel it. You've already turned this into a bigger nuisance than it needs to be. Reversing a transaction is not going to cost you money.
Don't forget to block this problem buyer.

The buyer wants to cancel a sale, the seller hesitates to do so and eBay's the pain in the rump?
If you say so.
I sneezed today. I'm pretty sure it's ebay fault.
I just can't believe there is this kind of person on eBay.
He already left a negative feedback to me. He placed order last night around 10:00PM, about 11:00AM this morning he already left negative feedback. I did not even figure it out how to do it yet.
I'd suggest getting on the phone with eBay and having them walk you through it. They should remove the negative feedback as well.

I don't know why you aren't just canceling it. He's impatient, but why are you dragging your feet?
how about letting us know who this "buyer" is?
If you deal with the general public much, there are quite of few people like this and much worse in the world. The venue doesn't matter.
Just called eBay, cancelled it, agent said he would send the info to another department to check the negative feedback.
Samuel8. Good job. This is exactly what you should have done and thank goodness for the forum being here to help. 👍🏼
