This NFL season has been rough, I don't want to see you guys lose any more money.

Every NFL season is rough for bettors.

“It’s been a weird season” is said every year, literally I been hearing this every year for 25 years.

I dabble in betting on these games but for short money, also games I bet I don’t even watch. It’s to stressful! You have to deal with the referees and their stupid flags, coaches who make moronic decisions and players who play great or play awful.. there is no making sense of any of its it’s a scratch ticket for me, nothing more nothing less.

Don’t bet with anymore than you can afford to lose.

Pay your Bills
Put a little in savings
Take care of family
Plan on losing
Don’t get emotionally involved because its a crap shoot nearly every single game.

I hope 2dueces is ok, I know he bets on games, I haven't seen him post on the sports forum lately. I hope he hasn't gotten into a bad situation with betting.

Nah he is too smart for that, I noticed he hasn’t been around much either but the Holiday Season can be busy

Don't mean to sound like I'm bragging but I do better than 95% of those here that bet on NFL games.

Thanks for asking and thank you very much Eric for reaching out to me. I made the toughest decision I’ve made in a long long time last month. My beautiful 6 year old dog got very sick, very fast. Only now can I even write about it. At 65 you spend so much time at home, more so than younger when you are always on the go. My constant companion, always waiting at the door, jumping into my lap to lick my face like I’d been gone a month instead of a few hours. I cannot tell you the heartache. Unless you’re a dog owner you cannot understand. Eric @thisistheshow , reached out to me and I’m thankful. I haven’t even been able to tell my closest friends. It’s moments like this that football doesn’t seem all that important.

PS. Please don’t post condolences. I’m thankful for all your support but if you do, I’ll not open this thread. I have reminders every day and when I’m ready and can smile I’ll look at this some day.

It would be way too stressful for me to wager money on a game, it's stressful just to watch games for the forum picks contest, I can't imagine having money on a game.

I've been there buddy, I've lost a few close companions myself, it's not easy I know, take all the time you need. Stay strong my friend.
