Wow @Herb_T ! Always great to see some more Talers here!
Do you have it in hand? Is it raw or graded? What attracted you to it? Thanks!

Congrats!
TalerUniverse.com is a curated numismatic project dedicated to the silver talers, crowns, and medals of the Habsburg Empire and the Holy Roman Empire, spanning the 16th–18th centuries. The collection emphasizes historically significant issues, rare mint varieties, and high-grade NGC/PCGS examples, presented with detailed historical context, scholarly references, and high-resolution photography. TalerUniverse aims to serve both as a private collection showcase and a growing reference resource for collectors, researchers, and students of early-modern European coinage.
Twos are usually better than ones. 😉
A: The year they spend more on their library than their coin collection.
A numismatist is judged more on the content of their library than the content of their cabinet.
It has to be sent to me from Prague. So it might be a while! I didn’t have any 2 Thalers, and this one is 50mm in diameter. It is RAW and when I get it, I will send it to be graded. I can send it to PCGS or NGC. Which would you suggest?
I think see what it looks like in hand. See what that green stuff at 5 o'clock looks like.
I typically use PCGS because I like getting a TrueView and for consistency with my other coins.
