Barnyard Not Seen Previously

I thought I had seen all the barnyard scenes to be seen, featuring a horse. Then, I came across this one, by Massonnet. My only contact with Massonnet prior to this was a reverse of a medal issued in Spain, during the reign of Isabel II.

Nice medal. When does it date from?

Plus some poultry (another new interest given the inhabitants of my backyard). That is a nice medal.

@291fifth I do not know the date of this specific medal, but my other Massonnet is dated October 21, 1859.

It is a very handsome piece. The French artists of that period were far superior to their US counterparts.

I love agricultural medals! This is an attractive design.
