    I should mention that I’m looking for a BU 1982 IOM half sovereign and and not a proof.

    I didn’t see the one you were referring to and could not pull any sold ones up on eBay. I do remember a couple of proof 1982s for sale from someone in Australia. Always bummed about them not being BU.

    TBH, a couple of years ago I was looking for the '82 in Uncirculated (BU) and these, two of them, kept showing up in searches. Never did get the unc. that I recall but ended up with a pile of unc. 1/2 and sovs - the 5 sovs and even the 2s have gotten crazy in price now!
