I am doing a piece for SCD on Olympic related cards.

Don't forget the 1983 Hostess version of the Greatest Olympians set. There is also a version of Coca Cola that is rare too.

Most important on the 1983 Topps greatest olympians is that there is a variation that was only available at 7-11 I believe.. logo is different upper left..

They were 2 section rack packs as opposed to the reg. 3 section racks.
Was lucky to find a near full box.

That 83 was a fun set. I remember buying those from rack packs when they were new. Went back and bought the boxed M&M set and the Hostess panels. Can't find the coke panel cards though.

Thanks for the info and pics. By chance can you please retake the photo of the four 1983 Owens cards and have them against a black or dark blue background and not have any glare in the pic? Thanks.

Very cool. Surprised how scarce they seem to be, as Coke was a very popular product and so are the Olympics. I would definitely keep the panels and not try to cut them down, seeing how they were printed on the boxes.
