Is eBay now taking 3 days to process all payments?

My last three sales all show it taking 3 days to process a payment,,,,, is this new?

I have never had it take over 1 day to be "available" in my account.

    It all changed when they stopped accepting PayPal payments. It's been 3 days since then.

    I pay for eBay purchases with PayPal and the payment only takes a couple of minutes to go through.

    if high value, might be a delay to confirm source of payment

    If you are talking about weekend sales then yes...sold on Friday and funds not available til Monday. Holidays add another day also. Mon-Thurs sales 1 day. That's for me anyway!

    Yes, it was just 1 day for me also thru the week, my last three sales of a $100 ea are showing 3 day processing.

    I wonder if they payed by e-check and it has to clear?

    Not true. 95% of my payments clear in 24 hours. The only ones that don't are over weekends.

    THIS WEEK, however, there has been a delay for some reason.

    i'm not certain as to the why, but on my various accounts, the majority of them take longer than not. tons of members have reported the delay as well.

    I thought at first maybe they paid by e-check but I have no proof of that.

    i'm not certain as to the why, but on my various accounts, the majority of them take longer than not. tons of members have reported the delay as well.

    It has been true in the past week. I'm really not sure why. It was never true before that with managed payments for me or anyone I know. If I cared that much, I'd do some research.

    I wonder if Veterans day in the middle of the week caused the problem. It always seems to take 3 days over the weekends for clearance. Maybe the midweek holiday caused the same problem.

    I usually get paid within 2 days of shipping the item. This week was no difference. I truly prefer the instant payment via paypal, but it is as it is, and I have no say in it. If I want the views, then I pay the dues.

    I have had several folks tell me they couldn’t pay this week.. I haven’t noticed my payment processing times because I always have a lot going on…. Perhaps I should check.

    Also, If you use a back end listing service, like sixbit or others, it appears eBay stopped updating shipping costs in June. I noticed my profits went way up, only to find eBay broke their API. They are aware and looking to fix it….

    What a mess.

    This past week had a bank holiday on Thursday which may have had something to do with the slowdown in payments clearing.

    Well, it appears my payments are back to 1 day processing, items that sold today are scheduled to be available tomorrow Nov 14th so it appears that the mid-week holiday last week was the reason for the delay. I had not thought about that.

    I quit selling my unneeded coins on eBay when they made me drop Paypal. I know at the time you couldn't use eBay-managed payments for gold and whatnot. Have they finally changed it?

    Yes. You can use it for anything you can use PayPal for and it's SIGNIFICANTLY CHEAPER than PayPal.

    Yeah, I've only done $250k in sales since I switched over...which means I saved $2500 in fees by using managed payments instead of PayPal. Damn managed payments.... >:)

    It was the holiday falling on a thursday causing this.

    I only do fund transfers once a week on tuesdays, so its usually not a problem

    I might add, I hate change, but actually I like managed payments, has saved me some dough, and simple and easy.

    Probably. But it was odd. I had said from Monday that normally would have cleared by Tuesday, Wednesday at the latest. They cleared Friday. I don't know how the Thursday holiday slowed Dien the Monday payments, but it did.

    I also find managed payments to be a big improvement. Cheaper fees plus nearly full refund of fees on refunds, unlike Paypal.

    Well, it seems eBay is now sending payouts on weekends,,,,,, I have gotten Saturday and Sunday payments sent lately.
