    Are you surprised??? I was yelled out when I called him a thug. I guess I was right. He supposedly assulted a man and had a gun on him while doing so. They said that he could get up to two years. I hope he gets two full years.

    he didnt beat the guy up, and it said he never pulled out the gun. he was looking for his wife, and they are making a big deal because he was carrying a gun.

    Whether he was carrying a gun or not...he exploded into a house looking for his wife when she wasn't there. Why was he mad? There has to be a reason, and when someone is mad like that...they'll do anything to let out their frustrations. This is not the first time Iverson has been charged in a similiar matter. He's a great basketball player, but he's a thug that needs to be controlled. Maybe 2 years in jail would help that cause. Definitely a big disappointment...but not surprising.

    I wonder if iversons wife is actually hiding from iverson?? Either way- iverson should not be carrying weapons of mass destruction. He needs to be jailed for awile.

    This is another tragedy waiting to happen.It's just a matter of time.
    Sad thing is;he is a very good athlete that has alot of talent.Just very sad to watch him self destruct right before the publics eye.
    You can take the boyz out of the street but you can't take the street out of the boyz;as they say.You can dress him up in the Armanis'all you want but that don't change him.Just another reason why I don't watch or collect the NBA! Just hope he don't die before he grows up
    to be a "man"!

    Hey bob - don't go off assuming all nba players are allen iverson. There are plenty of clean cut players with class. Atleast we play allstar games to win still.

    ebok-I am not assuming anything,believe me! Just check out the police blotter in any NBA city & that'll tell the story.Oh better yet,why did Jason Williams have to go to court to change his name before the NBA draft to Jay Williams-Because there were already 2 guys with similar names in the NBA one with a murder charge & the other with a felony assault charge.
    Besides,the players better hope the NBA never starts testing for "reefer" because if they do it would be hard to find a starting 5 for any NBA team out there.Those clowns stay high most of the season.

    bobstar how many players are in the nba? How many of them are true superstars? You are talkign about a small percent that get into trouble and if you think only nba players smoke weed you are insane.

    Well,I know that NBA players aren't the only ones smoking reefer;I just think on a % basis tho more of them in the NBA do than any other major sport.
    You are correct in that the NBA isn't as big as other major sports but my point was;again on a % basis I would bet that more of the NBA players get in trouble than any other players in any of the major sports.It just seems that you hear more police reports from the NBA than you do from the other sports.I might be wrong but I doubt it.
    ESPN did a report about crime in sports last year;I'll see if I can find that report.If memory serves me right the NBA was the leader in criminals.LOL Kind of a sad stat to be 1st in,huh!

    Yeah, look at Kobe Bryant. He carries himself in a intelligent manner and is probably one of the biggest role models in the NBA today, and even in the sports world. Don't go blaming someone else's misfortunes by making it out to be an entire League cause. That's rediculous.

    Just to clarify for you,I said %,not the entire league.I know there is good in everything.Also I don't hate basketball,both me & CJ watch college basketball the entire season.
    I just hate what the NBA has done to what once was a great game.Until Stern,the owners,coaches & players realize that not even thier big fat new contract with ABC/ESPN is going to save this poor excuse for once was an exciting sport.
    You better look around there ebok,there are quite a few traders on here that enjoy hockey.We have had the pleasure of making some great trades with them too.Take off your blinders buddy,there is alot more exciting sports out there waiting for you besides the NBA.

    But hey,to each thier own! I need to go light up now;the ESPYs are coming on.Later!
