Next Great Engravers Series Coin

With the next coins in the series announced as two coins paying homage to the Gothic Crown when do you think they will be released? Also what time of day in America are they released for a person to check? I missed the first two coins in the series and wanted to get these.

Apparently not much buzz around these coins unless you’re from the UK.

How did the first two of the series fair? I would think - well.

Buy yourself a few books, read up a little and you can find out who engraved your favourite designs, then build a collection from there. Much more appealing than being told what to collect by a business producing things for profit. There are many attractive patterns that didn't get adopted alongside the regular currency pieces that can be equally attractive - or not as the case may be. I have well over 200 engravers named on my list, and that's just for British coins. Other countries are likely to have similarly diverse numbers.

Not to sure about that - they sure sold out quickly. Very limited numbers for sale. I suspect that you missed out again.

I sat in the queue for about an hour and at somewhere around 2am California time I believe I secured a two ounce. Fingers crossed that all goes as planned. When I got in the two ounce was all that was left. Secondary market (if you can find one) for now is at $1100-$1600. I’m not selling but fun to watch

Nope. I was successful this morning. I was number 167 in the queue. I just commented not too much buzz because nobody commented on this thread at that point.

OK, there must be some secrets to that as I was on site 30 minutes early and got #1961 and ended up with nothing at all...

Sorry to hear that man. This was my first try at one of the hot issues. I opened the page on four different devices and ran with the best queue number I got out of them.

Must be the benefit of leading a clean life. I got on early, got a bad number, and got about the last 2 oz available. Everything else was gone. Last year I did the same and got #111 - picked up a 5 ounce 3 graces.
I somehow missed the opportunity to preorder coin #2. Have the RM working on it now

Lucky you on the 5 oz 3 Graces! I had this 5 oz in my basket but it was gone before I could complete checkout. Happy to get the 2 oz though and I should be locked in for the second coin in March.

I have a real 1847 proof, so not too interested. It was a beautiful design, along with the "Una & the Lion" 5 pound gold.

The new piece is actually breathtaking & IMO compares well to the original with very fine execution - and this comes from a Victorian silver fanatic of a collector.
