1942 dime with machine doubling (??).

Looking for expert opinions. The only coins i collect are what i recover when metal detecting. Never paid much attention to details other than the date and condition of the coins. After reading a thread on scarce mint marks i checked over all of the silvers for such marks. Using a loupe, which i need to see mint marks, i noticed some details on this dime. The "L" stood out most. I then noticed the edge of the coin having a line, the face, "in god we trust", etc.. Is this machine doubling? How common are such doubling marks? Worth much?
Thanks for any input.
Sorry about the low quality cell phone pic.

Machine doubling is common and adds no value.
