Damaged Card

Just got the email we all dread....used a group sub on this order so Director of Ops reached out yesterday with the following message:

**"Hey Rynoe,

PSA damaged card 2020 Panini Absolute Jordan Love #162 on line 154 of order code TOP-13. We're currently working on the payout, but in the meantime I need to know if you want the card back raw, graded as authentic only, or graded as a PSA 5. Please let me know.

Very best,"**

Accidents happen and thankfully this accident happened on a lower value card in a bulk order but is kind of a kick in the teeth considering this order was registered on 11/20/2020 and seems to just now be in the actual grading phase.

I will post a scan of the card when / if it ever gets back to me slabbed up in a stunning PSA 5 holder....

    Sorry this happened to you. I feel like this has been happening more often lately.

    Definitely seeing more and more people complaining about this issue, but when you grade more and more cards with graders lacking tenure things like this are bound to happen.

    I am happy that this was at least addressed on the front end instead of receiving back a random 5 grade and having to play the game of "huh how did I miss that.....wait no there's NO way I could have missed that"

    Feels like I am in an abuse relationship and I am just making excuses for a partner (PSA)…..never thought I would be happy about getting a "PSA LOST CARD" email but at least I have some sort of idea that the cards are still being looked at......

    terrible luck all the way around. especially w rodgers out and love in this weekend. be very curious what type of value they are placing on the card. looking at ebay sales a ton of love cards are moving today w some exponential jumps. some nearly up 100% from where they were just this morning. best of luck and sorry to hear!

    @blurryface insane timing....less than 30 minutes after the damaged card email I see the news roll in about Rodgers.

    ive been in your shoes more than enough times, so i know the feeling. at the very least you should get free grading on the card, the replacement value, keep the card and free shipping back on the order. a lil different w a group sub, esp w regards to free shipping back. there will be a little leeway w the value. i would definitely start gathering comps for that negotiation. i would not let them justify date of submission, last months or even last weeks sales as valid comps.
