Oh? Which, would you say, has the better or more scarce title? The misaligned die, partial collar or off Centered? Thank you. :)

It's all a matter of degree.

While your coin does have a MAD it is not enough to add premium.

The rarest of the 3 errors you mentioned would be a misaligned die (MAD), But once again it has to be way off to matter.

    Nice catch

I was under the impression that the reverse (stationary) die was aligned with the collar so struck coins were ejected smoothly.

At times the mints inverted the dies causing the Reverse die to become the hammer die - this may have been one of those times.

It's really quite simple. Misaligned die has full reeding. Partial collar has partial reeding. Off center has no reeding.

Was looking on eBay sold items - and the MAD quarters are selling for 10$ and up - although they are listed as "Off-Center" - https://www.ebay.com/sch/i.html?_from=R40&_nkw=Off+center+Quarter+error&_sacat=0&rt=nc&LH_Sold=1&LH_Complete=1

And yes, the planchet will not have reeds but the struck part may have "some" - (pic from eBay)

And forgot to mention - MAD strikes are on one side only. Off-Center strikes are identically off on both sides.
