I really wanted to get this coin, none finer….but other people had their eyes on it and I had already exceeded my limit trying to get it. Here it is….beautiful old coin.


But I did snag this one….another nice coin…

    Wow, strong results on both I think. I was following that 1/2 Taler - congrats! Let us know how it looks in hand.

    Relevant to several threads here, it is interesting to see what the Taler sold for in 2015 and 2017, and now going for more than double the last result.

    Too bad about the English coin. It seems fantastic. The Thaler isn't bad either!

    The $3000 price on the English coin may seem high until you compare it to what $3000 will buy in US coins these days.

    I'll take the nearly 600 year old English coin.

    I have been looking at those coins for quite a while, but that is the nicest by far that I have come across. Just got out of my price range.....maybe next time if I can find another that nice.
