Question about 00-01 Topps Chrome Basketball.

I have 2 00-01 Desmond Mason Topps Chrome RCs. Both are numbered to /1999. But one has a yellow background and the other has the regular background. Are some of them just different colors or is one a parallel and just numbered the same as the regular? It says the refractor is numbered to /199 but then why is one of my backgrounds yellow? If anyone knows what I'm talking about and can explain it to me I'd really appreciate it.

I wish I could but my digital camera isn't working. I'll keep trying but I doubt I'll be able to get a scan.
