Now, normally I would love to participate in this thread, but I have to be getting to bed, I'm involved in an ebay auction that ends at 3:30 a.m. so goodnight everyone and uncle dragon will see you all tomorrow for NFL Sunday!
Red Sox vs Yankees is up there
Good luck with the auction @doubledragon
Now tomorrow is a big day so don’t be late punching your time card in here!
Patriots vs Goodell for awhile 🤷♂️
If college is included then Ohio State - Michigan (Although it's been dominated by the Bucks the last 20 years)
"When they can't find anything wrong with you, they create it!"
Cubs vs Cardinals has gotten spirited at times over the years.
McEnroe vs Borg
Terry Bradshaw was AMAZING!!
Ignore list -Basebal21
Without a doubt, the Detroit Red Wings vs the Colorado Avalanche. Far and away the best.
Ah heck, who am I kidding, I go to bed at this time every night.> @perkdog said:
Auction just ended, total victory, I'm feeling arrogant, confident, maybe even a bit rude.
Oh come on now my ducklings, I can't believe no one has mentioned.
The Celtics and Lakers owned the 80s, and were involved in bitter rivalries.
Sega Genesis made a Lakers vs Celtics game back in the day.
Duke vs North Carolina is a bitter rivalry, the Duke fans will stick their hands out and try to mess with Carolina players.
I remember when Tyler Hansbrough had his nose broken against Duke.
You're slipping my ducklings, no one mentioned Brady vs Manning?
And what about Ohio State vs Michigan, that is a huge rivalry.
Actually, Ohio State vs Michigan hasn't been much of a game in years, with Ohio State usually winning. I remember when Urban Meyer coached Ohio State, they dominated Jim Harbaugh and Michigan. Yes, just look at coach Meyer, god bless him, he's going to get some booty one way or another.
I remember this game, 49ers vs Cowboys, Dallas had already won back to back super bowls and that was the year the 49ers beat the cowboys and went in to win it all, and Steve Young finally got that monkey off of his back.
And how about the Cowboys vs Eagles, those two teams hate each other. There's a lot of good memes available for this rivalry, we'll go with Maury and the DNA results.
Steelers vs Cowboys were always a big rivalry in the 70's. Even though the Steelers always won
Terry Bradshaw was AMAZING!!
Ignore list -Basebal21
I was never a Hockey guy but even I watched those games back in the day when they hated each other. They were great
Oklahoma vs Nebraska
Auburn vs Alabama
This one got a DVD made of it.
Army vs Navy
Bruins vs Canadiens

Thank you for coming into the office early on this NFL football Sunday @doubledragon
Good work.
The length of time and number of matches are main proponents of what comprise a good rivalry, in my opinion. So while not as heralded as some of the mainstream rivalries posted above, I would nominate the Princeton v. Yale Thanksgiving pigskin tradition as one of the greatest rivalries ever. Like The Master’s at Augusta National, the powers that be don’t need or do not want it to be highly publicized. They have repeatedly passed on numerous big TV deals and sponsorships to keep the tradition somewhat under wraps considering it’s 120+ year standing. Make no mistake that very big political careers have been made or lost on the playing field and the amount of money risked that game has been rumored to be equivalent to the money laid out on The National Championship game but by a mere fraction of the amount of people. There is an urban legend of two alumni that put a cool mil on just the coin toss each year.
DD how about Ric Flair vs Dusty Rhodes?
Montreal Canadiens vs Boston Bruins
King Kong vs Godzilla
Only 130 years or longer.
Cal-Stanfurd, 1892
Giants-Dodgers, 1889
all right, I am ready to play. Sundays during football season are definitely my lightest posting day. I get sucked into the NFL.
I mean, I have to watch. The Patriots need me to watch.
Federer vs Nadal comes to mind.
George Brett, Roger Clemens and Tommy Brady.
Ali vs. Frasier
Ray Leonard vs Duran
George Brett, Roger Clemens and Tommy Brady.
the New York baseball teams during the 1950s.
Willie, Mickey and the Duke
George Brett, Roger Clemens and Tommy Brady.
LA Dodgers and San Fran Giants
George Brett, Roger Clemens and Tommy Brady.
I also remember the Celtics and Pistons had quite a rivalry in the 80s
as well as the Celtics vs 76ers in the early 80s
that is back when basketball was tough
George Brett, Roger Clemens and Tommy Brady.
Subway series, classic time in baseball
I remember the Packers and Bears being quite fun to watch.
This Sunday...........
"When they can't find anything wrong with you, they create it!"
Avalanche & Red Wings in the 1990s.
Steve
Chargers vs. Raiders back when Al Davis was still around.
Steve
Dodgers/Giants.
