Bo Jackson was a freak of nature, big, powerful and fast, how does his career as a running back look if that hip injury against the Bengals never happens?

Not too long ago, Bo made an interesting quote.
Injuries happen when both your cleats are planted in turf at the same time. He should have listened to OJ. ' Never have both feet planted'.
Bo Jackson is fascinating, just a freak of nature, but I think he is out of his mind when he says he would have averaged 350-400 yards a game today.
no runner ever would average 350-400 yards a game. thats crazy talk. I think Bo was about 28 or so when his hip got fractured. he probably would have had another 3-4 years as a running back. at least a high level one. i always thought that if he had devoted specifically to Football, he could have threatened the single season rushing record.
George Brett, Roger Clemens and Tommy Brady.
Bo knows hyper bo le
the most ignorant statement ever typed on this forum pales in comparison to this
let's just hope that Bo was smashed when he said this, otherwise I'm very concerned
you'll never be able to outrun a bad diet
Bo was amazing.
Well maybe if Urban was his coach -
"When they can't find anything wrong with you, they create it!"
No, I think if Urban was his coach they would be spending too much time elsewhere to focus on football.
Well, the only reason Bo wouldn't have averaged 300 to 400 yards today is because he'd have to hit the defensive player with head up.
I gotta say I think Derick Henry might be better than Bo ever could be 😳
I agree

That's part of what makes the legend of Bo. We'll never know.
No should have stick with baseball in KC

Bo was the greatest athlete of his time. Just like Jim Brown, a lacrosse legend was the greatest of his time. They come along once in a generation like Jim Thorpe for his. And no Derrick Henry is no Bo.
"I spent 50% of my money on alcohol, women, and gambling. The other half I wasted.
^^^^ this is correct. I think recency bias is playing a part here
George Brett, Roger Clemens and Tommy Brady.
I’m not talking athletic ability, I’m talking power and speed at the RB position here. That breakaway long run Henry had the other night was the fastest run out of all the RB’s in the league. At 240+ pounds that is incredible.
Bo was the fastest athlete in football. Not just running backs. Everyone. Henry is fast for a running back but not the fastest in football. Taking nothing from Henry, he’s not Bo.

Believe me I know Bo was amazing and at the time he was the man. I’m just looking at the differences of the playing field now as opposed to the late 80’s, against his peers Bo was on another level but I think Henry right there considering the players he is going against.
I agree with everything you say. I have to be reminded if you were old enough to appreciate Bo. No knock I just don’t remember how old you are. I Mets guys in their late 20’s in 2013 that had no idea who Bo Jackson was.
Remember Tecmobowl? Lmao. If you picked the Raiders Bo scored on every play. That’s how highly regarded Bo was.
Derrick Henry is a beast.
As for Monday, some teams just have another teams #. Like Pittsburgh had Dallas. The Titans have the Bills #.
Ravens have the Titans #. Henry last year 18 carries 40 yards.
NFL is a hard egg to crack. If it was easy we’d be living in Hefs mansion with all our winnings from picking right every week.

I’m 51, I saw Bo and his highlights all the time on ESPN, I actually saw his first career game in 1987 against the Patriots.
I played Tecmo Bowl incessantly lol. Bo was by far the most unstoppable player lol
I believe he had a legitimate shot at Hall of Fame in football and baseball.
Matt
pound for pound, bo would have been the fastest. I believe Deion Sanders had a faster 40 time, possibly Darrel Green as well. if they were faster, it was just by a smidge though. Bo was by far the bigger man
George Brett, Roger Clemens and Tommy Brady.
He had no shot at the HOF in baseball.
