NGC Submittal slow grading?

My submittal has been at this status for 2 weeks. Is this normal?
I submit to PCGS and the submittal process seems to move along. I would have submitted to PCGS but the coin was too old, like 1050AD.

If you scroll down this page, you will note that they are only opening things received Sept 11 at the moment.

I hadn’t seen that part. That explains why. If they are a month behind being current they need to hire some people or work some OT. Having a backlog is nice, but that is crazy.
They are swamped. Very high demand right now for grading.
ancients and specialty stuff at ngc are slow to enter and get going
