This is not the greatest, but they call it the "greatest 2 yard run"

Marion Barber 2007 Cowboys vs Patriots

Edited to add: Click watch on youtube. Also, for anyone who didn't see him much, Marion the Barbarian was a lot of fun to watch. He often would initiate contact at the end of his runs intentionally. His career wasn't the longest, and he has hit some rough times as a lot of these guys do.

that is a very good run, aided by some shoddy tackling an an un-called shove in the back.

So many it chose from but the one that comes to mind is Marcus Allen’s 74 Yard run in Super Bowl XXVIII. Big stage, big run.
191 rushing yards, a SB record at the time.

You want to see some great runs, here's 5 minutes of Barry Sanders for you.

    ............
This was HUGE! I was only almost eight years old at the time, but I remember this. As I have talked about before, the Redskins were my NFC team that I rooted for as a young NFL watcher, before I fully embraced rooting only for the Pats to win it all. I was one year into my Redskins fandom at the time. The game was on at my Grandparent's house. I remember feeling shocked that the Raiders were winning that game. Lesson learned. Any given Sunday

There will never be “The best run ever” in MY opinion. There are so many to chose from it’s crazy, take every top RB you can think of and there will be some insane runs, it’s easy to confuse a great run over poor tackling though.

the greatest one I can remember happened against my Patriots back in 1994 I believe. Barry Sanders was the culprit. as I recall, he spun one defender in a complete 360 degree circle

George Brett, Roger Clemens and Tommy Brady.
