Henry seems to have gained some weight. Does this indicate the coin was struck during the later part of the 1826-44 period? How much does his portrait change over these years?
My understanding is that this is the second of three coinages. He was injured in a joust and that led to his being overweight.
I should add that this coin in this condition is hard to find. A few members here have very nice Henry VIII coins.
