Fury vs Wilder III
These two are going to mix it up one last time this Saturday night for all the marbles and there is bad blood between them.
Tyson Fury vs. Deontay Wilder 3
Tyson Fury and Deontay Wilder are just days away from the third chapter in their thrilling rivalry. On Saturday, Fury (30-0-1, 21 KOs) will put his WBC world heavyweight title on the line against Wilder (42-1-1, 41 KOs) at the T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas.
Wilder is behind in the series with one draw and one loss. The two fought to an epic stalemate the first time out, with Fury surviving two late knockdowns from Wilder. The second fight saw Fury go right after the champion, returning the favor with two knockdowns of his own before the referee waved off the fight in the seventh, giving Fury the title.
The pay-per-view matchup is going to draw plenty of interest in what has been a rocky year for the sport. Here's a look at the latest odds going into Saturday's action.
Scorecard Predictions
As the prop bets suggest, this fight isn't likely to go to the cards. Wilder, 35, has knocked out a stunning 93.2 percent of his opponents, per BoxRec. The only people to make it to the judges against him are Fury and Bermane Stiverne, who lost to Wilder by unanimous decision in 2015. Everyone else has been flattened.
While Fury is much more skilled than the long list of fighters Wilder has knocked out in the past, the Bronze Bomber still believes he has what it takes to put him to sleep.
"There's many things that I visualized in the first fight, along with the second, and I didn't execute the game-plan," Wilder said after arriving in Las Vegas, per SkySports.com's Richard Damerell. "But this time around it's just a different feeling. All the way around. The atmosphere. The energy as a whole."
Fury, 33, isn't nearly as prolific when it comes to knockouts, but he showed in the last fight that he has all the tools to overwhelm and punish Wilder. Assuming he's as confident as he was the last time out, the "Gypsy King" will likely go for a similar manner of victory.
The longer the fight goes on, like in their first meeting, the more chances it will give Wilder to get his timing down and potentially send him to the canvas. Fury isn't going to take his chances with the American.
"We both know what we can do, there's no secrets," Fury said, per Reuters (h/t ESPN.com). "I'm dealing with a guy that can knock you out with one punch, and he's dealing with the same."
"When you have the two biggest heavyweights going for it on the biggest stage, you are always in for an exciting night. The heavyweight landscape can change in seconds, and it's up to me to keep it on track and not let it change."
If this one does go to the cards, that almost assuredly means Fury will earn the victory. The first fight did end in a draw, but I think Fury will be more aggressive this time around and build up a bigger margin. If Wilder hadn't gotten a 10-8 round in the 12th with his dramatic knockdown, Fury would have earned a win by majority decision, and there would likely be no trilogy.
Wilder may still end up with the night's best punches, but Fury will prove again he's the better all-around talent and win comfortably on the cards, if it comes to that.
Comments
Deontay Wilder is one of the hardest punchers in boxing history, if he wants to win this fight he's going to have to be super aggresive and really hurt Fury and knock Fury out, if he can't do that then Fury will outbox him and win. Deontay Wilder knocked Fury down twice in their first fight, but Fury was able to get up both times and continue to box really great so the first fight was ruled a draw. In their second fight, Fury came out extremely aggressive and bullied Wilder and knocked Wilder down twice, busting his eardrum and making Wilder bleed, Fury was a savage that night and even licked blood off of Wilder's neck and in the seventh round Wilder's corner threw in the towel and Fury took Wilder's WBC Heavyweight Championship giving Wilder his first and only loss.
Deontay Wilder was embarrassed the last time they fought and he's had a lot of time to think about it, it's going to be interesting to see how Wilder responds. Deontay Wilder is always a dangerous fighter because of that right hand, it can turn your lights out if he catches you flush with it. This is going to be very entertaining.
In the second fight, which Fury dominated, Fury licks blood from Wilder's neck.
In their first fight, Wilder showed how dangerous he can be when he caught Fury.
I just did watch some clips from last nights fight - Fury is pretty amazing.!
"When they can't find anything wrong with you, they create it!"
Boxing promoter Bob Arum viciously snapped at ESPN reporter Mike Coppinger at the Fury vs Wilder press conference the other day, Bob Arum was commenting about Teofimo Lopez and how he hasn't fought in over a year and apparently Mike Coppinger told Arum that he should have paid Teofimo Lopez the money he was asking for, check this video out.
Here is a video of how this intense war started.
I don't, and never liked Wilder coming from a boxing family myself. I told everyone that he'd eventually get knocked out waaayyy before Fury. You know why? Because he always left himself open with gloves down. Furthermore, he got ROCKED by BUMS! Handpicked fighters to make him look good. Everyone thought I was kidding. When I found out Fury was fighting him the first time.... I said he's going to lose this fight! Almost!
The second fight... I knew Fury would get him!
..... Now, let's talk about the trainer of Wilder's. He's a bum! Took a dive actually fighting Wilder. Smh. This bum is supposedly teaching the other bum fraud how to fight a man that's been fighting since he was a kid!!!!
Tyson is a big, Fast, incredible BOXER!!! I look for a big Knockout this fight from Fury! I'd say the 5th round or before. It's personal this time. Wilder has made every excuse in the book. You don't tell the world he's a cheater when your own ego is hurt. He's a sore loser. Fury within 5 rounds!
Does Wilder have a puncher's chance? Of course! But we're going to see a boxer put on a display not only with speed and movement, but power also!
Wilder can punch, but he's a glass jaw. Fury proved he has no glass jaw
I also have Fury winning this fight, Fury has already proven that he can get up from Wilder's best shots and outbox Wilder, I don't see Wilder being able to do anything he hasn't already done. I think Wilder is being ridulous making all of those excuses, he got beat fair and square by the better man and he should just accept it and admit it. If Wilder loses, his career is pretty much over, this should be very entertaining!
Right on spot buddy!!! If you get one fight this year ... Get this one!!! Lol, I wish we could all get together and watch it! Just the guys lol! I'm excited man! Lol, last night I watched another video after the press conferences.... Wilder saying Fury is going to cheat again. Smh.... That dude has a serious ego problem! He knows he got beat fair!!!! Great topic this morning 🌅!!!! Love boxing brother! 👍
Football and boxing both this weekend, it doesn't get much better than that, enjoy!
Well folks, Tyson Fury is certainly ready for tomorrow night.
Here's a little boxing entertainment for everyone to enjoy, Micky Ward with the body shots, check it out.
by all accounts, Fury did not want this fight. he wanted Anthony Joshua. he has also put on 20 pounds since the last fight, and we can safely assume that it's not muscle weight.
my prediction certain to be wrong: this bout goes deep, stamina becomes an issue for Fury, and Wilder catches him in the 9th round and puts him to sleep
you'll never be able to outrun a bad diet
No kidding!Makes a great weekend!!!! You have fun!!!!
Wilder and Fury crossed paths last night and it got nasty, these two legitimately hate each other, check it out.
the trilogy lived up to its billing
what a fight
Fury is too good
you'll never be able to outrun a bad diet
It definitely lived up to the hype, both guys getting knocked down and getting back up and Fury finally finishing Wilder off. They gave us one a hell of a show.
These guys gave us all they had, two warriors going to war with eachother, leaving it all out there, I love this sport.
Guys, this is why boxing 🥊 is the best sport for 1 night! It's better than anything on the planet for sports! It's like Christmas 🎄 what a fight!!!! Tyson not only is the Champion, but a Legendary Champion! 👍 Enjoy his remaining fights! Best fighter of our era right now!
Tyson Fury is a one of kind, once in a lifetime fighter, I don't think he'll ever lose, not in this era, he's just too great. He always has a game plan for every fight, every situation, one of the most clever fighters I've ever seen. I love this sport, great fight!
Here is another good fight clip from last night.
Awesome weekend of sports!!!! We're lucky to have sports during these trying times. Keeps us.... Sane 😂
Right! Hopefully we'll see a undefeated heavyweight championship retire undefeated in a couple of years. What's left for him? Joshua, Ruiz and others. He's got about 3 fights left. We should enjoy all of them! 👍
I'd like to see him unify the titles by fighting Oleksandr Usyk, then Fury would have every heavyweight belt. I honestly don't see anyone beating him, he'll retire unbeaten.
He just better hope Buster Douglas doesn't come out of retirement.

Exactly!!!! I think Usyk would be a worthy opponent. Joshua would in a good way, still be intriguing as Ruiz. Good boxing 🥊 ahead man! We might see one of these fights soon. But like you said, he'll be a 🏆 again! 👍
