i am finally out of the Pokey and have been chomping at the bit to post about Tommy...
do you know, the only starts TB has ever missed due to injury came in 2008 after the ACL/MCL injury.
should we start calling him Tom Ripken???
George Brett, Roger Clemens and Tommy Brady.

I will add to this. Some QB records that we see talked about involve "in the first ten years". Look up Russell Wilson to see what I mean. If you take out Brady's rookie year he owns more records. And if you take out the rookie and his missing injured year, the percentages regarding getting to the Conference Championship Game, the Super Bowl, and winning the Super Bowl are insane.

that is very true. for all intents and purposes, he really didnt play in either of those two seasons.
that would mean, 10 super bowls in 19 seasons?
incredible
George Brett, Roger Clemens and Tommy Brady.
10 Super Bowls in 19years is phenomenal. 10 Championship appearances is the mark of a champion, an obvious HOFer, I believe it took Otto Graham 10 years to match that accomplishment. Graham certainly wasn't perfect. He lost three of those games.

Tom needs only one critical football injury to end his career. Remember Darryl Stingley? I know Jack Tatum does. Stingley is now and has been a quadriplegic since there encounter. Iron man Tom or not, it only takes one bad tackle.
Wake up Tom...you've got the world in your pocket and at least $500 million in assets. Why risk it?
that is very true, for all football players, but especially those 40+ years of age.
Look at the beating Montana took. and I have read he regretted retiring and wished he had come back. I really think these guys are just different than the rest of us. wired in a different way. a lesser degree of Alex Hannold's wiring
George Brett, Roger Clemens and Tommy Brady.
Tom really, truly loves the game of football and just can't give it up, he would probably play until he's 100 if he could. I heard him say one time something like he loves the feeling of being out there, the adrenaline, the rush. That coupled with his love of the game makes it nearly impossible to give it up.
In his entire career, Brady has never started a game where his team has been eliminated from the playoffs.
.................
If he looked at things in that way, he wouldn't be where he is now.
In last nights game, they congratulated Russell Wilson for being the fastest QB to 100 wins. He did it the 4th game of his 10th season, beating the old record held by Peyton Manning which I think was 10 games into his 10th season. To put things in perspective, Brady (if you do not include his rookie year or the year he missed) did it 5 games into his 9th season. Someone please correct me if I am wrong. I know that this doesn't count, but it puts things into perspective regarding the clip at which the Patriots were winning with Brady at QB.
The sheer amount of luck that Brady has had is insurmountable

As they say, "Luck is the residue of design."
