College cards coming?

What do you think. I predict that in a year or two we will have a reputable card company producing College Football cards.

What type of licensing? By college, conference? Similar to shoe and equipment contracts.

Player, college, or conference. Players now can receive money for their likeness. Fanatics can sign and pay any player they want for x number of dollars. They can pay the college for use of their name and emblem, or sign a deal with the conference I'm betting it is going to happen. I just do not know when.

Yes, it will be Fanatics. They already have the licenses.

    Mike,

Where did you see that Fanatics has the college licenses? Panini has licenses for the logos currently. Anyone can make a deal to make cards with any player. The players don’t yet have an association that can sell blanket licensing. Would have to be player by player deals. I think Panini and Topps could each have licenses to use the logos and then negotiate with different players. If there was an announcement on the NCAA or conferences signing exclusive trading card licenses with Fanatics I missed it.

I take it back. Fanatics CLC license doesn't include cards, Panini has the long term rights to cards.

Anyways, the college lines Panini has don't sell that well compared to the pro league.
