Can you void an ebay 'Standard envelope' once you have purchased it ?

Looking at the shipping labels page, I can't get that option in the drop down for 'Actions'.....Has anyone been able to do this ?
I bought the label and the customer sent me an address change.

On every label I have purchased and need to void I have always done it through a link from the email I receive from ebay. Have never found a direct link but haven't dug that deep on ebay.
Thanks, there's no link in that email.
There just might be something about voiding these cheapies.
Unfortunately, it won't let me print another label either, saying that I've already purchased a label. Looks like I have the eat the 3 bucks and buy a package label.
As far as voiding labels is concerned, I believe you have to wait 24hrs and then the "void label" option appears.
Go to my eBay -> along the left hand side under 'selling', you should see 'shipping labels'. Find your item and on the far right you should see 'actions'. In this drop down you should have the option to 'reprint label' and the 'void label' option should appear after 24hrs.
I THINK this is only available on the desktop version, not the mobile app for some reason - at least I wasn't able to access via mobile and gave up trying. Let me know if that helps or you have any further questions.
edited to add: I see that you might be asking about 'Standard Envelope' specifically? But since you mentioned eating 3 bucks as opposed to 53 cents, I figured you might me talking about a regular label. As far as Standard Envelope is concerned, I've never been able to void it and have had to eat 53 or 73 cents a few times.
awe. my go-to page has apparently been retired quite recently.

does this get it done?

You don't actually need to. The eBay standard label isn't purchased until scanned at the post office.
There is this...
eBay standard envelope Terms and Conditions
Label charges
Charges for labels will be as set out in your order. Label charges for this program are non-refundable and non-voidable once the label is printed.

Thanks guys.....
Yea, I was thinking about it and I guess you could cheat the post office out of a few cents and get low-level tracking if you could just print another label. You could use that function to send all of your mail.
Just printing up 'standard envelopes' and editing the name and address for anything that you had to mail.
Well, I'll never have to pay for this particular label, as it will never be scanned, but the buyer is an ebay newbie (who also requested a different address), so I really would like to track this mail.
I'm going to have to go the package route, and pony up the few bucks.......
Thanks again for chiming in......
thanks. should be easy to remember as ups and fed-ex are the same way via ebay. just gotta remember usps is the one that charges up-front.
Send a link from here, to your buyer and ask them to pick up the tab. After all, they requested it.
No, but your only losing a few cents, so I wouldnt worry about it
Why not change the address by hand?
Of course, if i have a buyer who requests shipping to a different address, I would cancel the transaction. Major red flag.
I thought about it, but wasn't sure it would fly. I'd like to try it out sometime though, just to see.
No
Fraud? Don't eBay's ToS require you to ship to the address (an address) associated with the account? Was his account hacked? How much did the item (coin?) sell for?
It has to be under $20 or you can't use ebay standard labels.
I would not, however, ship that way. The customer can really change their address on ebay and then buy it again. Some risk and no advantage to the seller.
